Airport Launches Twitter Departure Board

Mobile%20Travel

It seems that more and more people are relying on their mobile phone and social media to keep informed and to source information, especially regarding travel information. Taking this on board, Leeds Bradford Airport has just launched a new application which shares live flight data via Twitter helping to communicate with travellers their arrival and departure information.

To access the feature, travellers need to follow @LBIAirport, where they will be followed back. Then, passengers simply direct message @LBIAirport their flight information to receive updates directly to their device as they appear on the airport’s departure boards. The feature can also be used by those collecting arriving passengers, and users can receive notifications as soon as their gate opens.
