The importance and psychology of using colour

The use of colour in marketing has come a long way since the time when Henry Ford famously quipped that customers can have any colour of Ford car they like so long as it’s black. Colour is an important and integral part of marketing in general and branding in particular, with research studies suggesting that colour is one of the main deciding factors for buying or not buying a particular product. In fact, colour is so important that it can even repel consumers to the point that they decide not to buy a product or not to return to a shop because of its colour layout.
