One of the basic tenets of a successful business is having a thorough understanding your customer base. Customers are often described by marketeers as heavy or light users, loyal or fickle, new or old, YUPPIE or DINKS and various other monikers in order to help categorise their value and worth to the company. The advent of social media platforms such as Twitter & Facebook has added a new complexity to understanding customers and as such it’s pivotal to have a proper grasp on knowing who and which customers matter the most when it comes to social media.
